【摘要】:Thisclassificationestablishescategoriesofinsulatingcoatingsbasedontheirchemicalnature,relativeinsulatingability,andtypicalapplications.Thesecategoriesdescribegeneralphysicalandchemicalcharacteristicsofthecoatingsthatareusefulinmakingbroadestimatesoftheirinsulatingabilityandsuitabilityforvariousapplications.FIG.1ApparatusofSurfaceInsulationResistivityMeasurementforFranklinTestFIG.2DiagramofConnectionsforContactsandResistorsforFranklinTest1.1Thisdocumentclassifiesinsulatingcoatingsforelectricalsteelsaccordingtotheircomposition,relativeinsulatingability,andfunctionality.Thepurposeofthisclassificationistoassistusersofinsulatingcoatingsbyprovidinggeneralinformationaboutthechemicalnatureanduseofthecoatings,aswellastoprovideimportantdataconcerninglimitstotheiruse,thatis,relativeinsulatingability,punchability,temperaturestability,weldability,andfabricability.Specificsurfaceinsulationresistivityvaluesforeachcoatingarenotincludedinthisclassification.Theuserisreferredtotheflat-rolledelectricalsteelspecificationsnotedin1.2shouldmoredetailedinformationconcerningsurfaceinsulationresistivityvaluesberequired.1.2Thisclassificationistobeusedinconjunctionwiththevariousspecificationsforflat-rolledelectricalsteelsunderthejurisdictionofCommitteeA06,includingSpecificationsA345,A677,A683,A726,A840,andA876.However,inthoseinstancesinwhichthecoatingdescriptionsandcharacteristicsdifferbetweenthisclassificationandanyofthespecifications,thisclassificationshallsupersedethespecification.1.3Thevaluesstatedincustomary(cgs-emuandinch-pound)unitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitswhichareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
